As part of our overall effort to migrate our on-prem API environment to the cloud, beginning January 6th, 2025, the USPS API Developer Portal account registration process has moved to the Cloud USPS Developer Portal, with the exception noted below.

Exception: If you are using a 3rd-party software or plug-in and have been directed here by your provider to create an App, please submit your request via the App Creation Form. A USPS representative will review your inquiry and will contact you to assist.

New Users
All other new users who are developing their own solutions (i.e., not using an established 3rd-party software or plug-in), please navigate to the Cloud USPS Developer Portal.

Current Users
Current users can still view their apps and credentials on the legacy Developer Portal and may continue to use their existing credentials to access the USPS APIs. To authorize an existing App to access protected account information (such as payment accounts, permits, CRIDs, MIDs, and subscriptions), please copy the App’s Consumer Key and enter it here. Should existing users wish to move to our Cloud environment, they can use their existing account to log into the Cloud USPS Developer Portal to create an app.
